Happy Tuesday, South Carolina fans. While it is Clemson week, there’s still some hangover from the 23-22 loss to The Citadel on Saturday.
Here are two things to know:
- Though embarrassing, South Carolina’s loss to The Citadel won’t affect much else. After all, the Gamecocks had only one win in SEC play.
- One South Carolina fan bitterly broke down after this weekend’s tough defeat. It was perhaps a fitting way to handle the loss considering what happened..
Other South Carolina news from around the Internet
- The Associated Press’ Pete Iacobelli writes that No. 1 Clemson and the Gamecocks are trending in opposite directions. Two years ago, South Carolina had won its fifth consecutive game against Clemson. The Tigers won convincingly in 2014 and enter this year’s tilt at 11-0.
- The State’s Ben Breiner writes in his tales of the tape column that linebacker Skai Moore was an observer and offensive lineman Brandon Shell was a receiver. Moore also did not participate in practice during the week leading up to The Citadel game.
