Happy Thursday, South Carolina fans.
A busy week finally slowed down on Wednesday. More rumblings came out of Columbia, S.C. as Muschamp continued to piece together his staff and hit the recruiting trail.
Here are two things to know:
- Steve Spurrier reportedly donated his final paycheck to the Gamecock Club. Despite resigning midway through the season, Spurrier continued to get paid by the university. He sent about $70,000 to help out the current South Carolina athletes.
- A longtime SEC defensive coach will reportedly join Will Muschamp’s staff. Ellis Johnson served on Spurrier’s staff at South Carolina. His new role has yet to be defined.
