South Carolina football quarterback Jake Bentley has barely a half season under his belt as a starting college quarterback, but what he showed already was impressive.
And according to Pro Football Focus, the Gamecocks rising sophomore quarterback ranks as the best returning SEC quarterback at throwing deep passes. Judging by the adjusted completion percentage metric, Bentley completed 58.6 percent of his passes that went 20 yards or more downfield — more than 10 percent better than the second best returning quarterback in the conference.
