Happy Wednesday, South Carolina fans.
The search for the next Gamecocks coach continued, and even got broader in scope. Several interesting names have been added to the already intriguing list.
Here are three things to know:
- UGA’s Jeremy Pruitt is reportedly a candidate for South Carolina job. Pruitt received a recommendation from former UGA coach Mark Richt.
- The State’s Josh Kendall reported South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner is now working with a short list. Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, Richt and Dallas Cowboys special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia remain candidates of interest.
- The State received a letter from Steve Spurrier on his choice to resign. Spurrier said his decision allowed interim coach Shawn Elliott to change the direction of the team.
