Add another highly touted player to the list of South Carolina’s early enrollees.
Four-star wide receiver Bryan Edwards signed his financial aid agreement on Wednesday and will enroll at South Carolina in January, the university announced.
Edwards, a 6-foot-3, 205-pounder from Conway High School (Conway, S.C.), joined 4-star quarterback Brandon McIlwain, 3-star running back C.J. Freeman and 4-star junior college cornerback transfer Jamarcus King as mid-year signees.
Edwards is listed as the No. 3 player in the state of South Carolina and the No. 44 wide receiver nationally.
During his senior campaign, Edwards hauled in 53 passes for 969 yards and nine touchdowns before a knee injury ended his season in October.
Despite the injury, Edwards was a finalist for South Carolina’s Mr. Football award and was selected for both the Shrine Bowl and the U.S. Army All-American Game.
The South Carolina native chose the Gamecocks over Clemson, Florida and UGA, among others last week.
