Hurst, a former walk-on wide receiver who began his post-prep career as a minor league baseball player in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, has caught 41 passes for 518 yards and 2 touchdowns this season.
Moore returned to the field this season after sitting out 2016 with a neck injury. If he finishes the season as the Gamecocks leading tackler, Moore will have led the team in tackles each season he played. His 3 interceptions, also a team-high in 2017, moved him into a tie with Bo Davies, who set the school record (14).
Sawyer is tied for first in the country with 5 forced fumbles, even though he hasn’t been a starter since the Kentucky game.
South Carolina will play Michigan in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1 in Tampa, Fla. Kickoff is set for noon at Raymond James Stadium.
