It seems like it has been weeks since the Head Ball Coach resigned from the South Carolina football team.
To some players, the timing didn’t matter all that much.
South Carolina redshirt senior running back Brandon Wilds said the team didn’t take long to get over the fact that Spurrier resigned midway through the season. That’s because they didn’t have the time to do so.
“We bounced back pretty quick,” Wilds said. “The next day.”
South Carolina’s press conference Tuesday marked the two-week anniversary since Spurrier officially announced his resignation and discussed the decision.
Wilds didn’t offer much else on the matter, only that the team didn’t have the clock on its side as it got ready for Vanderbilt that weekend.
“Coach left, so there was no time really for us to harp on it too bad,” Wilds said. “We just had to go on from there.”
