Shawn Elliott is taking another South Carolina staff member with him to Georgia State.
FootballScoop and 247Sports reported Monday that new Panthers head coach Shawn Elliott will be bringing graduate assistant Cedric Williams to Atlanta. Williams had assisted Elliott in coaching the offensive line at South Carolina.

Georgia State hired Elliott to be its head coach Thursday. He coached at South Carolina from 2010-2016. He served as interim coach for six games when Steve Spurrier retired in 2015.
Williams joined South Carolina’s staff as an assistant strength and conditioning coach when Will Muschamp was hired.
South Carolina will play South Florida in the Birmingham Bowl on Dec 29 at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN.
