South Carolina quarterback Connor Mitch left last Saturday’s loss to Kentucky with a separated shoulder in his throwing arm, which could keep him sidelined for more than a month, according to the Associated Press.
To complicate matters, Mitch was also hospitalized after it was revealed that a hip pointer he suffered in the the Gamecocks’ win over North Carolina two weeks ago led to internal bleeding and an infection.
Even though the separated shoulder is the more serious injury — at least as far as playing football goes — we now know just how bad Mitch’s hip pointer was after a photo of the grisly injury surfaced on Twitter.
Mitch was released from the hospital on Tuesday.
