Could South Carolina be the final destination for the former UGA commit who has a red “G” tattoo on his bicep?
Things are looking good for the Gamecocks with Randrecous Davis, the 3-star receiver from Mays High School. He de-committed from UGA last week after not really hearing from the Bulldogs after the coaching change.
Davis has taken official visits the last two weeks to Miami and South Carolina. Both schools have former UGA coaches on staff.
“Right now he is still talking it over with his family,” Mays coach Corey Jarvis told SEC Country on Monday. “I think he’s going to make his decision on signing day.”
Jarvis confirmed a report that South Carolina might have a slight edge over Miami. “I think that’s accurate. On Wednesday, the decision will come down to going to a place that makes Randrecous feels the most wanted, and wherever Randrecous feels is most like home. We’ll see.”
South Carolina’s new receivers coach is Bryan McClendon, who held the same position at UGA under Mark Richt, the new Miami head coach. There’s also a deeper connection there, with McClendon graduating from Mays.
