South Carolina has an All-American this season.
Senior long snapper Drew Williams was named a fourth-team All-American by Phil Steele on Tuesday.
Senior defensive end Darius English received third-team All-SEC recognition from Steele, adding to his second-team All-SEC pick by the Associated Press.
Williams, an Irmo, S.C. native, started every game for the past four season as the South Carolina long snapper.
English recorded 9.0 sacks as a senior, good for third in the SEC and in the Top 20 nationally. The mark also sets him as fifth in South Carolina single-season history.
South Carolina also landed four players on Athlon Sports’ All-SEC freshman team this week, as wide receiver Bryan Edwards, running back Rico Dowdle, defensive lineman D.J. Wonnum and kick returner A.J. Turner were honored.
South Carolina (6-6) faces South Florida (10-2) in the Birmingham Bowl on Dec. 29 in Birmingham, Ala.
