His name wasn’t called in Thursday night’s NBA draft, but that doesn’t mean former South Carolina forward Michael Carrera won’t get a shot to play in the NBA.
Carrera has signed to play with the Miami Heat in the Orlando and Las Vegas summer leagues. His agent, Seth Cohen, posted the news on Instagram Friday morning.

The Venezuela native led South Carolina with 14.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game as a senior.
