Johndre Jefferson, a former member of the South Carolina basketball team, helped Overseas Elite capture the championship of The Basketball Tournament on Tuesday on ESPN, winning his share of the $2 million prize in the process.
Overseas Elite beat Team Colorado 77-72 in the winner-take-all tournament that grew dramatically in popularity this year with games being televised on ESPN and the prize doubling from $1 million last year. Overseas Elite also won last year.

Jefferson played two seasons at South Carolina. He completed his college career with the Gamecocks in the 2010-11 season, when he averaged 1.7 points in 9 minutes per game.
