Former South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw wasn’t without a team for long.
After Shaw was released by the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday, the winningest quarterback in South Carolina history was claimed by the Chicago Bears, according to Josh Kendall of The State.
Connor Shaw will sign with the Chicago Bears, he told The State on Friday.

Shaw was picked up by the Browns after he went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. He started the final game of the Browns 2014-15 season, as he completed 14 of his 28 passes for 177 yards and an interception. Shaw did not play last season as he recovered from thumb surgery.
Earlier in June, Shaw floated the idea of him coaching at South Carolina.
