Chris Culliver wasn’t an NFL free agent for long.
The former South Carolina defensive back, who was cut by the Washington Redskins in May after suffering a torn ACL and MCL during the previous season, signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins that could be worth up to $5 million, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
The 27-year-old cornerback has recorded seven interceptions and 143 tackles across parts of four professional seasons.
Before becoming a third-round draft pick of the 49ers in 2011, Culliver was a second-team All-SEC selection as a junior for the Gamecocks. His senior season was cut short by a pectoral injury.
