Fresh off his run with the Los Angeles Clippers summer league team, former South Carolina star Sindarius Thornwell is returning for the state’s ProAm League.
Thornwell, who played 26.8 minutes per game, averaged 14.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.8 steals for the Clippers squad, which finished NBA summer league play with a 3-1 record.
He’ll be back in Columbia to play on Thursday.

Rich, a former Gamecock point guard, is the South Carolina ProAm organizer. He also tweeted that Thornwell will play in the 7:15 game on Thursday at Heathwood Hall.
After taking last season’s SEC Player of the Year, Thornwell was drafted 48th overall by the Clippers.
