Shaq Roland could be eyeing a return to South Carolina and is “very interested” in playing for the Gamecocks.
Roland, who was named South Carolina’s Mr. Football in 2011, told The Sports Radio Network he is considering a return to Columbia, S.C., as a graduate student.
Roland played with the Gamecocks from 2012-14 and left the program after the 2014 season. He caught 26 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns during his final season.
The former five-star recruit is now attending Winston-Salem State after originally enrolling at Prairie View A&M. He would have one season of eligibility remaining if South Carolina welcomed him back to the team.
