It’ll be a Mays High School reunion of sorts when three-star wide receiver Randrecous Davis takes the field for South Carolina this fall. Davis committed to the Gamecocks on Wednesday morning, meaning he’ll study under co-offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon — also a Mays graduate.
Davis had plans to play at UGA, but he de-committed from the Bulldogs on Jan. 25 due to a lack of communication from the new coaching staff. McClendon was Davis’ primary recruiter at South Carolina and the two are known to have a very tight relationship. Davis made his official visit to South Carolina this past weekend.
Davis is famous for getting a “G” tattoo on his right bicep before signing with UGA.

The Atlanta native is the state of Georgia’s No. 37 prospect and the nation’s No. 69 wide receiver. Davis narrowed his finalists down to South Carolina and Miami for his Wednesday decision, but he also reported receiving offers from 18 other schools.
