George Rogers won the Heisman Trophy in 1980. More than 30 years later, the former South Carolina running back is involved with the recruitment of 4-star cornerback Jamyest Williams.
Gamecocks quarterback Jake Bentley got the ball rolling on Twitter on Friday night, the first night of Williams’ official visit to South Carolina.

Bentley’s tweet was in response to this:
"Coming to South Carolina was the best decision of my life" -Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers #SpursUp?

As it turns out, Rogers put in some face time with Williams this weekend.

We’ll see how much it all pays off when Williams announces his decision on signing day. He remains committed to South Carolina, but Georgia is also in the mix.
