What new South Carolina coach Will Muschamp will not earn in base pay from the university, he will make up for with benefits.
Muschamp will receive a private suite at Williams-Brice Stadium, 24 bowl tickets, a $2 million life insurance policy, two cars and both country and dining club memberships, according to The State’s Andy Shain.
Earlier on Monday, the University of South Carolina Board of Trustees reportedly approved Muchamp’s contract, which will play the coach $3 million annually over the course of five years. According to USA TODAY Sports, it is the lowest known contract of any SEC coach (excluding Vanderbilt, which was not made public).
In 2015, Steve Spurrier earned more than $4 million per year.
