Within a week of receiving an offer from South Carolina, Champaigne committed to the Gamecocks, his coach told SportsTalk South Carolina.
Champaigne, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound wide receiver, runs a 4.50 40-yard dash and was recruited by South Carolina offensive line coach Shawn Elliott.
The Fort Dorchester High School (North Charleston, S.C.) product held offers from Western Carolina and Massachusetts, and reported an offer from the Gamecocks on Saturday.
South Carolina was the first SEC school to offer the receiver.
