Priority cornerback target Jaymest Williams has made plans to visit two schools later this week.
On Friday, the 4-star cornerback from Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga., is scheduled to be in Clemson for the Tigers All In Cookout. A day later, he’ll visit South Carolina for its cookout.
South Carolina and Clemson could be Williams’ final two stops this summer — no other trips have been scheduled. Both schools were listed in his top five, which was released earlier this month at The Opening.
The No. 7 rated cornerback in the country recently said he’s needed at South Carolina.
“I think I’ll fit their scheme well,” Williams said. Coach (Travaris) Robinson is the defensive backs coach and defensive coordinator and I know he’s going to put in a great scheme and allow defensive backs to make plays.”
His relationship with Robinson and coach Will Muschamp has helped make the Gamecocks a contender. Williams also said they’re recruiting him the hardest.
