Within the last few days, 4-star cornerback Jaycee Horn has taken visits to Alabama and Tennessee. What does that mean for South Carolina?
We could find out within the next few weeks.
That’s the new commitment timeline for Horn, who once planned to announce in July, mentioned to SEC Country’s Chris Kirschner, after the two trips to Tuscaloosa and Knoxville. And even though Horn hasn’t visited South Carolina since mid-June, it would be premature to rule out the Gamecocks.
“They are all in a good spot right now,” Horn said. “I just want to make sure I’m 100 percent ready because I don’t want to commit, then de-commit. Right now, I feel like there’s not a wrong choice I can make.”
Horn, a 2018 prospect from Alpharetta (Ga.) High School, is confident that he’ll make an immediate impact wherever he lands.
“Out of the three schools I’m looking at right now, I feel like I can start as a freshman at any of them,” Horn said. “So, now I’m looking at relationships and what coaches I feel more comfortable with.”
Fortunately, for the folks in Columbia, defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson has established “the best relationship” with Horn.
“I think the reason for that is we just click,” Horn said. “He understands me really well.”
