After a few days of uncertainty, South Carolina fans can rest easy.
South Carolina defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson told reporters that JUCO CB Steven Montac has joined the Gamecocks.
JUCO CB Steven Montac is now on campus. Today was his first day at practice, according to DC Travaris Robinson.

“Obviously, he just got here, so he doesn’t really know much,” Robinson said. “We’ll meet with him … we’ll bring him along and he’ll slowly progress into this deal and be fine.”
It was a reported transcript issue that kept the defensive back away in the early days of Will Muschamp’s first preseason camp with the Gamecocks.
Montac spent last season at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas, the same school that sent fellow cornerback JaMarcus King to the Gamecocks. In his only season at the junior college, Montac had 17 tackles with one interception and three pass breakups.
