Hassani Gravett, a point guard from Villa Rica., Ga., committed to South Carolina Monday after visiting campus over the weekend, according to Phil Kornblut of The State.
Gravett spent last season at Pensacola State junior college, but was limited to 12 games because of a pair of high ankle sprains. During his senior campaign at Alexander (Ga.) High School, the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder was named the Georgia 4A Player of the Year, averaging 20.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game, per the Shelby Star.
“Through the process of recruiting I had a tough time deciding which school I wanted to go to, but after visiting and talking to the coach more and more I felt the most comfortable at South Carolina, so I think I made the best decision possible,” said Gravett, who has three years of eligibility left.
Per Kornblut, Gravett chose South Carolina over West Virginia, East Carolina and Georgia State. He becomes the fourth member of the Gamecocks’ 2016 recruiting class.
