Kurt Roper will finish season with Cleveland Browns before joining South Carolina
Kurt Roper will be South Carolina’s offensive coordinator, but not right away.
Roper, who is in his first season as an offensive assistant with the Cleveland Browns, will finish out the remaining four games before joining Will Muschamp’s coaching staff at South Carolina.

While Roper is still working for the Browns, it has not stopped him from taking care of some other obligations as a college assistant.
Last night, Roper joined Muschamp on an in-home visit to 4-star South Carolina quarterback commit Brandon McIlwain in Pennsylvania.
Roper will take over as the Gamecocks’ offensive coordinator after serving in the same capacity under Muschamp in 2014 with Florida.
Muschamp has also added Travaris Robinson, Bobby Bentley and Ellis Johnson to his coaching staff, and retained interim coach Shawn Elliott as the offensive line coach.
