Gamecocks fan Will Mackey got into a little trouble after he rushed the field when South Carolina beat Tennessee.
The South Carolina student was pretty far onto the field before he realized that he was the only fan out there. He told SB Nation’s Richard Johnson that when he tried to get back into the stands, a police officer realized what he was doing and stopped him.
So I stormed the field and got kicked out of the rest of our home games but took a video of me doing it pic.twitter.com/u9uaeq5tCP

“I realized that when I stopped and looked around the perimeter of the entire field and there was not even an inch where there wasn’t a yellow jacket that said ‘Security,’” Mackey told Johnson. “That’s when I kinda realized it’s not looking like I’m getting out of this unscathed.”
The school banned him from buying student tickets to any of the team’s remaining home games. He also had a student code of conduct hearing, the results of which have not been made public.
But Mackey is too big a fan to be kept away. He made it into South Carolina’s game against Missouri using a non-student ticket and a not-so-great disguise.

We’ll see if he can make it into Williams-Brice Stadium for the Gamecocks’ last home game against Western Carolina next weekend.
