South Carolina unleashed true freshman QB Jake Bentley on UMass during Saturday’s nonconference showdown, and the youngster has made all of Gamecock nation proud with his strong performance.
But there may be no one more proud than the Gamecocks running backs coach, who just happens to be the father of the young Gamecocks signal caller.
Jake’s father, Bobby Bentley, was among the the first to greet his son as he made his way to the sidelines following his first career touchdown pass. Here’s a look at the joyful family reunion:

Between his work with the Gamecocks running game and his son’s potential to be the team’s quarterback for the foreseeable future, it’s fair to say that the Bentley family is perhaps one of the most important pieces of the South Carolina offense moving forward.
