South Carolina students have come out in force for the Darius Rucker concert in Columbia.
The country music star made good on a promise Wednesday by holding a free concert for South Carolina students at Colonial Life Arena after the Gamecocks football team won six games this past season. As expected, students embraced the opportunity in a big way.
Check out the short clip below of students sliding into their spots for the event. Impressive turnout, indeed.

No matter your rooting interests, you have to love what Rucker has done here. The noted Gamecocks fan made good on a promise, and he brightened a bunch of people’s day along the way. Many South Carolina students will remember this night for a long time.
In a way, the show began hours before the first song. Early Wednesday evening, Rucker fired back at Clemson trolls who made fun of the event. Gamecocks fans have to enjoy that passion.
As the clip above shows, students were all about making the most of this chance to check out Rucker live.
