Marcus Lattimore is used to being on TV. Now, he’s taking his talents to the big screen.
The former South Carolina star running back is set to make his acting debut in the film, “Faiths song,’ according to The State’s Dwayne McLemore. Lattimore will play himself as a pastor in the movie, which tells the story tells the story of a young girl losing her faith after her parents are killed in a car crash.
“What’s so powerful about that, it can relate to so many Americans when you go through adversity,” Lattimore said in an interview with WACH-Fox. “Will you stand firm on God’s word? I feel like that’s the message that we’re trying to get across.”
“Faiths song” is a Christian movie that is set to release in the fall, and was shot all across the state, per McLemore.
The movie will have premier showings in Columbia and Charleston in October with a general release in a limited number of theaters to follow in November, according to McLemore.
