Davonne Bowen has his mind made up about where he wants to play college ball.
The decision will be tweeted on Wednesday at noon.
On Saturday, the three-star from Woodmont High School (Piedmont, S.C.) visited South Carolina for the Will Muschamp Football Camp. The Gamecocks pulled the trigger before the day was done, joining Missouri as his second SEC offer.
Louisville tossed in an offer later that evening, joining Maryland, Marshall and Minnesota.
South Carolina appears to be in strong position for the 6-foot-2, 220-pound prospect. He told SEC Country on Sunday night about his conversation with Muschamp after the offer was made.
“Muschamp was telling me that he loves my skill-set,” Bowen said, “He loves my athleticism and that I’m a God-gifted pass-rusher and he sees me playing all four linebacker positions … and he was telling me that they love me and he would really love me to come (and) play for him.”
He added, “With USC being one of the top choice schools that I want to go to and play for — to have Muschamp, the kind of coach that he’s known to be … for him to tell me that he wants me to come play for him and he loves everything about me, that’s something that’s just mind-blowing for me.”
