Former South Carolina track star Natasha Hastings finished fourth in the women’s 400-meter Olympic final on Monday night.
Hastings time of 50.34 was slower than her qualifying time of 49.90. That time, her best of the season, still would have been short of the bronze medal, which went to Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson, who ran 49.85.
Shaunae Miller of The Bahamas fell through the finish line to take gold.
