One-time South Carolina commit pledges to Louisville
P.J. Blue was one of a handful of recruits to de-commit from South Carolina back in October following Steve Spurrier’s sudden resignation. On Tuesday, the 4-star linebacker found a new university to call home for the next three to four years.
Blue, the No. 7 overall player in Alabama, announced through Twitter he had committed to Louisville. He spurned programs such as Alabama and Tennessee.
A 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker from Montgomery, Ala., Blue gives Louisville its 20th commitment in next year’s class. He was one of three high-profile recruits to de-commit from the Gamecocks (Marlon Character, Bryan Edwards) in recent months.
