COLUMBIA, S.C. – Perry Orth is back as the starting quarterback at South Carolina. The senior got the nod against Georgia after a strong showing late against Texas A&M.
Orth came in for the fourth quarter in USC’s 24-13 loss to the Aggies last Saturday and threw for 138 yards on 11-of-18 passing.
The senior started the first two games for the Gamecocks. Freshman Brandon McIlwain started the following three, but the offense was mostly lifeless against Kentucky and for three quarters against Texas A&M.
Orth has thrown for 373 yards on 31-of-54 passing with no touchdowns and one interception.
