Two South Carolina men’s basketball players were arrested Thursday morning.
Freshman guard Jamall Gregory and freshman forward Eric Cobb were both arrested in connection with properties damaged with a BB gun, according to a report from The State.
Gregory is charged with one count of malicious injury to real property and three counts of malicious injury to personal property. Cobb is charged with malicious injury to private property and third degree assault and battery, according to Columbia police. They will both appear in front of a judge in bond court regarding the misdemeanor charges, per the report.
The report also indicates that Cobb is accused of shooting a BB gun at an occupied vehicle on March 7, while Gregory is accused of damaging three cars with a BB gun on March 9. Gregory is also accused of shooting at the side of a building on March 6.
This news comes just two days after coach Frank Martin indefinitely suspended Cobb, Gregory, freshman guard TeMarcus Blanton, sophomore guard Marcus Stroman and freshman forward Chris Silva before South Carolina’s opening-round NIT victory against High Point.
