Former Florida Gators cornerback J.C. Jackson will not enroll at South Carolina, according a report by 247Sports’ JC Shurburtt.
Jackson was part of Will Muschamp‘s 2014 Gators recruiting class but redshirted because of a shoulder injury. He was charged with four felony counts stemming from an alleged home invasion and robbery in April 2015 in Gainesville, and transferred to Riverside (Calif.) Community College, where he played six games. Jackson was acquitted of all charges against him this past November.
According to Shurburtt, Jackson is not eligible to join the Gamecocks “in a ruling that’s beyond South Carolina’s control.”
