The South Carolina basketball team will add George Washington transfer guard Jair Bolden, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
Bolden, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound guard, averaged 11.2 points during his sophomore campaign.
George Washington transfer Jair Bolden tells me he has committed to South Carolina. Good get for Frank Martin.

In his final season at George Washington, Bolden started in 24 of the 32 games he appeared in. He also led the team with 98 assists.
Bolden made 36.8 percent of his shots from the field, 31.8 percent from behind the 3-point line and averaged 3 rebounds per game.
As a freshman in high school, he played at St. Anthony’s in New Jersey before transferring to Westtown School in West Chester, Pa. He was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Bolden was rated as a 3-star prospect as a prep player, according to the 247Sports composite. He was ranked as the No. 62 point guard in the Class of 2016.
It is presumed Bolden will have to sit out the 2018-19 campaign before beginning his final two seasons of eligibility.
