Transfer-seeking Delaware point guard Kory Holden will take a visit to South Carolina next weekend, according to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.
Holden, the top-rated available transfer in college basketball according to Borzello and Jeff Goodman, averaged 17.7 points and 4.2 assists per game as a sophomore last season for the Blue Hens.
Besides the Gamecocks, Holden is also considering Kansas, Seton Hall, Baylor and Virginia Tech, according to Mitchell Northam of delmarvanow.
Delaware lost over 20 games during each of Holden’s two seasons with the Blue Hens. Holden told Kevin Tresolini of The Delaware News Journal that he “genuinely wasn’t happy” at Delaware.
“I just want to go to a better situation,” he told Tresolini. “Obviously, I have a lot of work to do and need to continue to get a lot better.”
Holden was previously named a Colonial Athletic Association All-Rookie selection.
