South Carolina coach Will Muschamp should expect to hear many of the same questions he’s been asked no fewer than 100 times already this year when the Gamecocks take their turn at SEC Media Days on Thursday.
Can this program take the next step in Year 2?
What are your team’s strengths?
How concerned are you about the defense?
Talk about Jake Bentley…
All of those boring questions and then some are certain to occupy much of Muschamp’s time Thursday with Bentley, Hayden Hurst and Deebo Samuel along for the ride.
And those questions/statements are more than likely to elicit many of the same, boring answers he’s offered at various points in 2017.
But let’s pretend for a moment that SEC Media Days was a no-holds-barred, bare-knuckled, anything-goes-opportunity to ask questions, all of which had to be answered truthfully.
Below are a few questions that might make the cut for SEC Country:
Which college football coach has the most punchable face?
You and Frank Martin in a tag-team match with Dabo Swinney and Brad Brownell. What happens?
Who is the worst player on your team? All we need is a name.
Why can’t y’all get any 5-stars to commit?
Clemson cheats, right?
Yep, pretty off-the-wall ridiculous.
But we’re out here trying to get some clicks, and straight-up answers to these questions would make that happen. Plus, it really would help stir the pot during the most boring stretch of the year for sports.
How would Mike Leach respond?
With something kinda weird and pretty funny.
Would Clemson fans get way too upset about it?
