South Carolina assistant baseball coach Brian Buscher will not be on the Gamecocks’ staff anymore.
The team was notified that Buscher was no longer with the team during during a meeting Monday night, according to 247Sports’ John Whittle. The report did not specify a reason for his departure.
This was Buscher’s sixth season with South Carolina. He served as a volunteer assistant in addition to working with batters and manning the South Carolina baseball camps.
Buscher also played collegiately at South Carolina (19 HRs, 130 RBIs), helping the Gamecocks reach the College World Series twice.
