The South Carolina ticket office is buzzing over the men’s basketball team.
Frank Martin and Gamecocks’ men’s team won their pass to Glendale, Ariz., where they’ll play Gonzaga in the Final Four, for the right to take on the winner of North Carolina and Oregon for the NCAA title.
An official inside the Gamecocks ticket office told SEC Country on Monday that the school has an allotment of “around” 4,000 tickets, a figure that also includes 700 tickets reserved for students only. Students, faculty and Gamecock Club members can request up to four tickets.
The donor tickets carry a price tag of $350, but that includes both semifinal games on Saturday and the championship on Monday. Those tickets are assigned by priority within the Gamecock Club. Requests will be taken until Tuesday at Noon ET.
Student tickets are based off the point totals, which are accrued by attending various athletics events. For students who are awarded tickets, each one carries a face value of $40. Those, however, are only for games South Carolina plays in the Final Four.
“It’s been pretty steady all day long, but it’s a great problem to have,” the ticket official said, requesting to remain anonymous. “Wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re rooting for our girls to get through to the Final Four tonight as well, so we can have both schools in there, for sure.”
Tickets are also available on vividseats.com. Tickets for all sessions — two games on Saturday and one game on Sunday — are a shade under $500. The most expensive all session ticket on vividseats.com carries a tag of $123,386 and is listed as a loft suite.
