COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina is close to getting a freshman big man back in the mix.
USC coach Frank Martin said freshman forward Sedee Keita has been cleared to return to practice Monday.
“He will be full go today in practice,” Martin said. “When does he play? I’ve got no idea.”
The 6-foot-9, 240-pound Keita has not played basketball since June because of a wrist injury.
Sophomore TeMarcus Blanton will attempt to return to practice from an ab injury.
The Gamecocks play Michigan on Wednesday at Colonial Life Arena before playing Syracuse on Saturday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
