Several South Carolina commitments and targets made quite a few highlights on Friday night.
One of the top plays came from 4-star CB Jamyest Williams. The No. 55 ranked prospect from the class of 2017 was caught on film by SEC Country reporter Chris Kirschner, who was covering the game between Grayson High School (Loganville, Ga.) and Deerfield Beach High School (Pompano Beach, Fla.).

Perhaps the most impressive highlight was made by 4-star WR Shi Smith. TheBigSpur caught the catch during Union County (S.C.) High School’s loss to Ridge View High School (Columbia, S.C.).
In the Upstate, a pair of 2017 commitments squared off: QB Jay Urich and LB Davonne Bowen.
Woodmont 33, Wren 27. Davonne Bowen 3 sacks, 2 FF. Jay Urich 4 TDs – 2 passing, 2 rushing. Competitive battle of #Gamecocks commits.

South Carolina coach Will Muschamp made a couple of stops in Rock Hill, S.C. on Friday night. Running backs coach Bobby Bentley was along for the ride. Up first was District Three Stadium for Northwestern High School and Spartanburg High School.

The coaches then made the quick jaunt down the road to South Pointe High School for the game with Charlotte’s Mallard Creek High School. Mallard Creek, of course, features two offensive line commitments in T.J. Moore and Eric Douglas. South Pointe is home to 2018 ATH Derion Kendrick and 2018 LB Eli Adams, among others.
