South Carolina already signed three-star defensive end Evan Hinson in February. Now the Gamecocks are recruiting his brother.
The Gamecocks offered a scholarship to Class of 2019 wide receiver Blake Hinson on Saturday.
The Daytona Beach, Fla., native is already a hot commodity, garnering offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan and North Carolina, according to 247Sports.com. The younger Hinson is also a top basketball prospect, with several offers to play some hoops at the next level as well.
New South Carolina coach Will Muschamp has already proven he’s willing to let two-sport stars pursue playing both in college. Quarterback Brandon McIlwain, one of the team’s top 2016 commits, enrolled early and is splitting time between spring football practice and the South Carolina baseball team.
A little brotherly advice from Evan Hinson probably wouldn’t hurt South Carolina’s chances, either.
