South Carolina football reportedly backs out of game at East Carolina
South Carolina football won’t be making a scheduled trip to East Carolina in 2019, East Carolina athletic director Jeff Compher said Tuesday.
The Gamecocks and Pirates are in the middle of a 4-game series that started with the 2016 meeting at Williams-Brice Stadium. But the 2019 game won’t happen, as the Gamecocks backed out of the trip with a hefty fee, according to Compher on Pirate Radio 1250.
"South Carolina will not be coming here in 2019. The contract calls for a $1 million payment for cancellation"
