COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina football team plays at Georgia on Nov. 4. On Monday, SEC officials announced the kickoff time and TV.
South Carolina-Georgia is set for 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
All-time, the Bulldogs lead the series, 49-18-2.
Georgia won last season’s Sunday afternoon showdown in Columbia, 28-14. Running backs Sony Michel and Nick Chubb rushed for 133 and 124 yards, respectively. Chubb scored the game’s first two touchdowns, to give the Bulldogs an early 14-0 lead.
This season, Chubb is fifth in the SEC with 688 yards rushing. Michel has 492 yards. They’ve combined to score 14 touchdowns.
South Carolina in Athens
Three of South Carolina’s eight wins in Athens came during this century. The Gamecocks won at Sanford Stadium in 2001 (14-9), 2007 (16-12) and 2011 (45-42).
Georgia won the last two meetings between the hedges, most recently in 2015, which was a 52-20 beatdown.
After last weekend’s bye, South Carolina (5-2, 3-2 SEC) returns to action this Saturday at home against Vanderbilt (3-4, 0-4 SEC).
Georgia (7-0, 4-0 SEC) plays against Florida (3-3, 3-2 SEC) in Jacksonville, Fla. in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
The Bulldogs are listed at No. 3 in both the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll. The Gamecocks were among the teams receiving votes in both polls.
