COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina football coach Will Muschamp told reporters Tuesday that two players were leaving the program.
Defensive back Antoine Wilder and defensive tackle Aaron Thompson are transferring from South Carolina.
Wilder has played outside linebacker, safety and nickel back during his career. As a redshirt sophomore last season, Wilder had 7 tackles over eight games.
In Muschamp’s first season, Wilder made three starts, finishing with 15 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception.
Thompson, a redshirt sophomore, signed with Muschamp’s first class at South Carolina, but never played a snap.
Both players missed spring practice because of injuries.
