Arkansas coach Bret Bielema made a note of where former South Carolina RB David Williams ended up on National Signing Day after he spurned Bielema’s Wisconsin Badgers in 2013.
Bielema recommenced interest in Williams once the running back decided to move on from South Carolina.
“We had a prior relationship and [are excited] to bring him into a position of need,” Bielema said. “His grad degree is going to be something that he’s interested in, which was a little unique to us as well that allows him to get into some real estate and different things. It’s really a marriage made in heaven and a great addition to campus.”
All the way to National Signing Day
For a while, it looked as if 4-star WR Josh Vann would announce his commitment before his senior season started.
On Sunday, Vann told SEC Country the earlier plan may no longer be the case.
“I could go all the way to Signing Day,” the Tucker, Ga., native said.
Vann lists South Carolina as his leader, with Georgia trailing.
