Marcus Stroman is moving on from South Carolina.
The rising junior was granted his release and plans to transfer from the university, according to 107.5 The Game’s Carey Rich.
Stroman saw action in 29 games this season, while averaging 2.3 points and two rebounds per game. He saw more playing time in his freshman season, when he averaged 19.5 minutes per game.
The Columbia native did run into some trouble this season, as he was one of five players suspended before the Gamecocks’ first-round NIT matchup against High Point. Of those five players, Stroman will be the third Gamecocks player that won’t return next season. Eric Cobb and Jamall Gregory were both dismissed from the team in early April.
