South Carolina offered a kicker a preferred walk-on spot Monday night.
The Gamecocks offered Tallahassee (Fla.) Leon High School kicker Jack Driggers an opportunity to come to play in Columbia.
“South Carolina feels like home,” Driggers said. “Columbia is a cool place and game day was electric. It would be a dream to play for a school like that.”

Driggers visited South Carolina for camp over the summer and for the Gamecocks’ win against Tennessee in October.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Driggers had a big day Monday, also landing a preferred walk-on offer from Oklahoma and a scholarship offer from North Texas.
He holds an offer from Army and a preferred walk-on spot from Duke.
South Carolina kicker Elliott Fry exhausted his eligibility following the 2016 season after holding the starting kicker spot for the past four seasons. Fry left as the school’s all-time scoring leader.
